Welcome to the very first episode of The Sound Check.
For as long as I can remember, music was the plan. From picking up a trumpet at seven years old to studying at conservatoire, I thought I knew exactly where my future was heading.
But sometimes things don't work out the way we imagined.
In this opening episode, I share my own story — the challenges that changed my relationship with performing, the difficulty of letting go of a future I'd spent years working towards, and how those experiences led to the creation of The Sound Check.
It's a conversation about identity, change, and finding a way forward when the music stops.
